The Little Penguin Parade:-
Visit the Penguin Parade to see the little penguins come home after a long few days of fishing. They arrive on the beach at sunset every day of the year and start their long “waddle” up the hillside to their nest boxes and their young. This attraction is the most popular on Phillip Island and well worth a visit.
Phillip Island Wildlife Park:-
Just a few minutes by car or a 15 min walk from Royhaven and you will be at the Phillip Island Wildlife Park where you can walk around the enclosures and hand feed the native animals of Australia. Get up close and personal with Wallabies, Kangaroos, Cassawary and other native species, Superb locally run organization and very affordable.
Amaze N Things:-
My personal favourite! This is one of Phillip Islands best family days out. You can spend a few hours or a whole day here just going through the conundrum of different Puzzles, Mazes and Optical illusions, there is so much to look at and test the brain. They have introduced a High Rope Sky Trail too for the more adventurous, it’s way too much fun!
GP Circuit and Go Karts:-
The GP Circuit is open all year round and has Test drives, Go Karts and Hot-laps to investigate for those Motor Heads out there who are here outside of GP Race meet days. You Can just go to the GP circuit, have a cuppa and look around, or engage in some of the activities on offer.
Churchill Heritage Farm:-
This tiny island of 57 hectares is now open to the public as an historic working farm that boasts significant natural and cultural values with world-class wetlands, ancient Moonah trees, heritage gardens and historic buildings.
Vietnam Veteran Museum:-
A really interesting few hours can be spent here, reading the well collated information and looking at the artefacts, the staff are all very knowledgeable and so friendly and helpful. This is well worth a visit.
